A very important message from Wade Holland: "The biggest problem we are having at the Inverness Water System right now is the high water usage occurring between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. -- timer-controlled irrigation systems cycling on! We have depended traditionally on low usage overnight to recover the drawdown on our tanks from the daytime peak demand (morning and evening household usage). These days we are seeing so much usage during the wee hours that the tanks are not recovering overnight.

Folks with automated watering systems need to adjust them -- or, better yet, turn them off altogether! If we can't rein in this heavy demand for nighttime outdoor water usage, we're likely to end up in just a few weeks having to cope with a total ban on all outdoor water usage!

We urge all customers of the Inverness Water System to cooperate, beginning RIGHT NOW! ""
