I was putting out the trash the other day and heard quite a ruckus down by Tomales Bay. A local explained why, "There were more harbor seals in the bay than I’ve ever seen. I stopped counting after 60! They were so active catching spawning herring that they came very close to me numerous times." (Thx PJ)
Resident wildlife photographer Carlos Porrata went down and shot these photos of the herring feeding fest.
