Via Debbie Daly - "Evacuation shelter update from the Dance Palace: I just spoke with Bonnie. They served over 200 people in the past two days with shelter, meals, clothing, etc, thanks to the wonderful help of many people in the community. Starting tonight, the shelter operation is in the process of being moved up to the Marconi center, where evacuees are being provided with comfortable rooms and their pets are allowed to stay with them. Dance Palace is serving dinner tonight and is staying open in case anyone else shows up tonight. Donations of food and supplies are no longer needed, however volunteer help will be needed at the Dance Palace tomorrow (Wed) to lend extra hands to a big cleanup operation and to help transport supplies up to Marconi and to return other borrowed supplies. Dance Palace have been working around the clock, sleeping at work etc. Staff from West Marin Community Services have also been instrumental. Thanks to these pillars of our community! Donations are in order and are appreciated at dancepalace.org and westmarincommunityservices.org."
